EDC Las Vegas 2025: The World's Biggest Dance Festival
Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas is the flagship event of the global EDM calendar — three nights at Las Vegas Motor Speedway with up to 170,000 attendees per night, nine themed stages, world-class headliners, and a production scale that makes it one of the most technically impressive events on earth. EDC 2025 runs May 16–18 at LVMS, with gates opening at sunset each evening and music running until sunrise.
What to Expect
EDC is an overnight festival — it runs from approximately 6pm to 6am, peaking between midnight and 4am. Nine stages cover every corner of the electronic music spectrum: kineticFIELD (main stage, capacity 100,000+), cosmicMEADOW (techno/house), wasteLAND (dark/industrial), bassPOD (bass music), and more. The production includes massive LED screens, pyrotechnics, lasers, aerial performers, carnival rides, and art installations across the speedway grounds.
Fan Travel Guide: Las Vegas
Getting There: Las Vegas Motor Speedway is 15 miles north of the Strip. Insomniac operates official shuttle buses from multiple Strip pickup points (included with camping tickets or sold separately) — this is the recommended way to travel. Rideshare surge pricing can be extreme at 6am when 170,000 people leave simultaneously.
Camping vs. Hotel: EDC offers on-site camping (Shuttle + Camping pass) which is the most immersive experience and eliminates the nightly commute. For hotel stays, book on or near the Strip — prices are elevated during EDC weekend but manageable if booked early.
EDC Essentials: Comfortable shoes you can dance in for 8+ hours, a light jacket (desert nights get cold), earplugs (professional-grade, not foam — you will thank yourself later), hydration pack, sunscreen (for the daytime hours), and a meeting point plan in case phones die or you get separated from your group.
Safety & Community: EDC runs one of the most extensive harm-reduction programs of any music festival, including medical stations, hydration stations, PEEPs (Positivity, Empathy, and Education Peers), and The Strut (safe walking service). The "kandi" bracelet trading culture makes EDC one of the most welcoming and communal festival environments in the world.
